Trade Pressure Peaks: Trump’s Tariff Clock Ticks Down with More Letters Incoming

by admin477351

Donald Trump is preparing to escalate his trade dispute with a fresh round of letters set to be released Wednesday. At least seven countries will receive trade-related notices in the morning, with more expected by the end of the day.
This development comes after 14 countries received similar letters on Tuesday, informing them of steep tariffs set between 25% and 40%. These levies are part of a broader strategy to overhaul global trade partnerships.
Trump revealed during a dinner with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu that the US has finalized agreements with China and the UK. Talks with India are reportedly in their final stages.
Although Trump extended the tariff deadline to August 1, he made it clear there will be no further delays. “All money will be due and payable starting August 1, 2025,” he stated firmly on Truth Social.
