Both sides expressed a shared commitment to a rules-based international order and deeper regional engagement, particularly in the Mekong sub-region.
In talks with Algerian Foreign Minister Ahmed Attaf, Sơn welcomed Algeria’s accession to the Treaty of Amity and Cooperation in Southeast Asia (TAC), viewing it as a boost to Algeria–ASEAN ties.
