Vietnam expressed its desire for Lithuania’s support in advocating for the ratification of the EU-Vietnam Investment Protection Agreement (EVIPA) by remaining EU member states. Additionally, Vietnam sought assistance in urging the European Commission to lift the “yellow card” warning on Vietnamese seafood exports. In response, Lithuania reiterated its dedication to fostering stronger Vietnam-EU relations and revealed plans to dispatch a business delegation to Vietnam. This delegation aims to explore potential investment opportunities within the country.
The dialogue between the two nations also covered cooperative efforts at the United Nations and emphasized strengthening ASEAN-EU relations.
