Vietnam and Russia are aiming to strengthen their bilateral relations through enhanced cooperation in human resource training and scientific research. This development was discussed in a meeting held in Hanoi on October 7 between Nguyen Thanh Nghi, Chairman of the Commission for Policy and Strategy of the Communist Party of Vietnam Central Committee, and a visiting Russian delegation.
The talks centered on leveraging Russia’s strengths in high technology to meet Vietnam’s development needs, with both sides exploring opportunities for joint research and training programs. Human resource development emerged as a key area for long-term collaboration, with discussions focusing on creating stronger links between educational and training institutions, facilitating expert exchanges, and initiating joint research projects.
Beyond human resources, the meeting identified science and technology, innovation, energy, and the oil and gas sectors as potential areas for expanded cooperation. These discussions underscore the commitment of both nations to deepen exchanges and foster substantial cooperation in education, technology, and strategic research.
This meeting highlights a concerted effort by Vietnam and Russia to not only enhance their current relations but also to lay a foundation for future collaboration. By aligning Vietnam’s development goals with Russia’s technological capabilities, both countries aim to achieve mutual benefits and foster sustainable growth in key sectors.
