Thailand is bracing for increased rainfall from October 5 to 8, with the Northeast and northern regions expected to experience the initial surge. This weather change is due to shifts in monsoon patterns and winds impacting the Andaman Sea, the Gulf of Thailand, and adjacent areas.
While the upper regions of Thailand might see a temporary decline in showers, isolated thunderstorms remain a possibility. In contrast, southern Thailand is forecasted to receive heavy rainfall, heightening the risk of flooding and other weather-related hazards in areas already saturated with rain.
Following this onset of rainfall, cooler temperatures are anticipated in parts of the Northeast, marking a shift in the current weather conditions. Additionally, the upper Andaman Sea is expected to experience moderate waves, with more intense waves likely during thunderstorms.
Authorities have issued advisories for marine operators, urging them to remain cautious and avoid navigating through areas experiencing thunderstorms to ensure safety.
