Vietnamese Prime Minister Lê Minh Hưng recently concluded a three-day official visit to Russia, underscoring efforts to bolster cooperation between the two nations. The trip, which also marked the 35th anniversary of ASEAN-Russia relations, included participation in the ASEAN-Russia Commemorative Summit.
During his stay in Kazan, the capital of the Republic of Tatarstan, Prime Minister Hưng engaged in pivotal summit discussions and business forums. He held important meetings with Russian President Vladimir Putin and other regional leaders, focusing on expanding partnerships in areas such as investment, energy, trade, technology, and industrial development.
The Vietnamese delegation’s agenda also included interactions with prominent Russian organizations and businesses. Significant milestones of the visit included the signing of cooperation agreements and the introduction of new direct flight routes between Vietnam and Russia, aimed at enhancing connectivity and economic ties.
This visit highlighted Vietnam’s dedication to strengthening its Strategic Partnership with Russia, particularly within the ASEAN framework. Both sides reached consensus on measures designed to deepen cooperation and achieve more substantial results in key sectors, ultimately supporting sustained economic growth and bilateral development.
